PERFORMANCE COACHING

WHAT IS PERFORMANCE COACHING?
There is no universally agreed-upon definition of Performance Coaching, and depending on the setting (be it at the workplace, business, leadership or sports environment) it can mean different things to different people - but for me, as a Personal Trainer, Performance Coaching is about unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance - helping everyday athletes perform better in their sport (and lives) through physical preparation. 

 

It’s taking a holistic view of everything that contributes to getting you to where you want to be - from your training on the water, off the water, your nutrition, your lifestyle, your habits - and working on all of these together to increase your mental and physical state, and ultimately reach and smash your goals.

IS SPORTS PERFORMANCE COACHING RIGHT FOR YOU?

It is going to take time, dedication and commitment - you need to know why you are doing this.  As part of the process we will discuss your goals and what its going to take to reach them. This is more than just Personal Training; it doesn’t matter what your level of fitness is NOW, but you must have a desire to push yourself beyond your self-imposed limits and be laser focussed on your ‘why’.   

 

WHAT DOES THE PLAN INCLUDE?

Performance Coaching is delivered online through the mobile app / website and with regular coaching calls.   Your plan will include :

 

  • Off Water Programming
    Strength & Conditioning training plans that you can do in the gym, at home or the great outdoors, all designed around you and your goals, and what you have access to.

     

  • On Water Programming
    SUP training programming designed around getting you to your ultimate goal (taking part in an ultra? Looking to get more competitive in the race scene? Want to smash your 200m sprint?)

     

  • Nutrition
    General nutrition guidance to compliment training and guidance around nutrition while competing

 

  • Mindset
    Building habits that work on your mindset, helping you stay on track

 

Plans are built around 6-week cycles, and minimum commitment is 18 weeks. I will create a custom annual training plan that is designed to work with your race schedule. Due to the level of time investment working with Performance Coaching clients, I have a limit on how many I will work with.
